Nils-Olov grew up in a non-Christian family, in Örebro, located in the province of Närke. In his early teens, his interest in sports dominated him completely.
He spent all his spare time training in sport centers.  Finally it paid off.  Three years in a row he was the Swedish champion in discus throwing and beat
all youth records.

But life is strange.  At 18 years old, he had an emotional crisis and started thinking about his future.   This crisis drew him to the Pentecostal Church,
Elim in Örebro where he gave his life to the Lord in April 1962.  Soon after his new experience, he understood that God wanted him to serve as a
full-time missionary.  But it took him seven years before he started a life-journey that is still on and has taken him to several countries and involved
him in a great number of various ministries.

In 1965 he married Christina Wistedt. They have two children, Andrea and Mattias.

During the years 1969-1972, he served as janitor and evangelist in the Elim Church, Örebro. After three years of an interesting ministry,
he was invited to work in the Bethel Pentecostal Assembly, in Spain.  For four years his job was  teaching and preaching.

When he left for Chile, part of his heart stayed in Spain, where he had so many exiting experiences.  In Chile, as in Spain, his main job was
teaching and preaching.

But after four years, it was time to move on.  This time the destination was La Lima, San Pedro Sula in Honduras.  The missionary in charge
of the mission station needed to go back to Sweden because of heart problems.  Nils-Olov had to take over. A third country, new people, and uprooting.

In Honduras he also ran several significant social products such as housing (they built 145 houses and three schools), water-drilling, pharmacy, and more.

Due to this humanitarian work, he was awarded Honorary Citizenship.  But the work in Honduras also included Bible-school teaching.  Not only
was Nils-Olov the founder of the Philadelfia Bible School in La Lima, but for six years he also served as its Academic Dean.

1995 he and his family moved to Lakeland, Florida. During the years 1995-2004 Nils-Olov was working with the Swedish Free Mission, the
International Cassette Bible Institute (ICBI).  His main job with ICBI was developing theological courses for Pentecostal leaders in Latin America.
And, he is on faculty with Columbia Evangelical Seminary.

At the present Nils-Olov and Christina are back in Örebro Sweden, and are involved in various Christian ministries.
